Introduction
Having a footer section on your site is standard. It is good practice to use a consistent footer throughout your site. This is easy to set up and manage by using Blocks.
Creating a Footer Block
From the Worksheet, create a new Block and rename it.
-
Give your new Block a name like “Footer”.
-
Click to edit that Block.
-
Start adding and styling elements to build out your footer design.
Adding the Footer Block to a Page
To use the Block on a page, you can add it the same way you would any other Element.
-
Open a page you want to add the Block to.
-
Click to add a new Element, search for the name of your Block, and select it.
-
You may need to reposition the Block by dragging it to the bottom of the page. Footer elements are usually the last elements on a page.
The Block instance that you just added to the page will stay up to date with any changes you make when editing the original Block, making it easy to maintain across your site.
You can also delete the Block the same way you would delete another Element from your page. When you delete it, you are not destroying the Block, you have just removed the reference to that Block from your page.
