Intro

Sites are the main thing you'll build on The.com. All the site you own or are invited to will appear on your Profile. From your profile, you'll be able to create, duplicate and delete sites.

Creating Sites

Create a new site by clicking the blue "Create Site" button in the toolbar.

This will spin up a new site with a randomly generated domain.

By default, the generated domain will also be the name on the new site card. To edit this name, double-click the text label, delete the text, and type in a new name. 

Duplicating Sites

Open the site drop-up menu and click the Duplicate button. Depending on how large the site is, it could take a few minutes for the site the be duplicated. You will receive an email once it has been.

Deleting Sites

Deleting a site is permanent.

There is no way to recover your site once it has been deleted.

Before you delete your site, you need to disconnect the custom domain associated with it. If you never connected a domain (the site has the original generated URL), then you don't have to worry about disconnecting the domain.

1. Open the site drop-up menu.

2. Click the Delete button.

3. Type "DELETE" in the modal that appears.

4. Click Delete Site.
